任職於廣告公司的湯姆，來到農莊參加男友吉翁的喪禮，卻意外發現原來沒有人知道他是誰，更沒人知道他和吉翁的親密關係。

吉翁強勢的哥哥法蘭西對這位不請自來參加葬禮的朋友感到不悅，尤其知道兩人關係的他更不想讓母親知道事情真相，因此下令湯姆一起演出扭曲的愛情遊戲，保護自己、保護悲傷母親，還有家人的聲譽。面對愛人猝逝的悲傷，同時被迫在愛人母親面前撒下各式謊言，孤獨的湯姆從未意料到一趟農莊之旅，竟使他一步步踏入這個隱藏更多不為人知的家庭糾紛秘密深淵……
